We have exciting news for all Sint Maarten employers who contribute pension premiums to the Algemeen Pensioenfonds Sint Maarten (APS). You can now activate a new integration with APS directly in Celery! Simply go to the “Employer” tab, select “Integrations,” and enable it effortlessly.
Once this integration is activated, all employees can be seamlessly linked to the APS pension plan defined in Celery with just the click of a button.
The original APS declaration is automatically generated in Excel and completed monthly by Celery. Alternatively, this declaration can be accessed in report S45, labeled as the APS declaration.
Why this integration specifically for APS?
First and foremost, it’s because of the unique APS declaration with specific layout requirements, which is now automatically generated by Celery.
However, the most important reason is to ensure accurate pension premium calculations. The APS pension plan uses a complex calculation method: the total premium is 18% of the salary, split into 8% employee premium and 10% employer premium. Here’s where it gets tricky:
- For the employee premium, the AOV franchise is applied.
- For the employer premium, the AOV franchise does not apply.
- Additionally, the part of the premium the employee saves due to the franchise must be covered by the employer.
This makes calculating the APS pension premium quite challenging. Fortunately, with this integration, Celery simplifies the process by providing predefined settings that ensure all APS pension premiums are calculated correctly.
How much does this APS integration cost?
This integration is available to our customers for a fixed rate of USD 25.00 per month.
Thousands of companies use Celery. Are you switching too?
Pricing for Celery starts at $20 per month.
